About Ruhani Rabin

A Technologist Who Never Stopped Building

My name is Ruhani Rabin. I have been building software, products, and technology platforms for more than 25 years. I started writing software in the early 90s, long before startups, SaaS, or “product thinking” were fashionable terms.

Back then, I built my first commercial software for civil engineers. Since then I have worked across startups, enterprise companies, media organizations, and the global WordPress ecosystem.

Today I work at the intersection of product strategy, software development, automation, and artificial intelligence.

This site is not a portfolio.
It is closer to a technical journal — a place where I document ideas, experiments, architectures, and lessons learned from building real systems.

What I Do

Over the years I have held leadership roles such as:

  • SVP of Product
  • Director of Product
  • Chief of Product
  • Chief Technology Officer

My work has focused on building scalable digital products used by large audiences and complex organizations.

I have worked with companies and organizations including:

  • Airlines
  • Banking
  • Large Digital Marketing Farm
  • Product SaaS Companies
  • Media Group of Companies

Most of my career has been centered around product leadership, platform architecture, and technology strategy.

I spend a lot of time thinking about questions like:

  • What should we build next?
  • What should we stop building?
  • Where does AI actually help — and where does it just add noise?
  • How do you simplify complex products without losing capability?

WordPress and the Open Web

I have been part of the WordPress ecosystem for nearly two decades.

During that time I have:

  • Built and released WordPress plugins used by thousands of sites
  • Contributed to the global WordPress community
  • Organized WordPress community events
  • Spoken and collaborated with developers and product builders worldwide

WordPress still represents one of the most important open technology platforms on the web, and I continue to build tools and experiments around it.

What I Am Exploring Today

My current work revolves around several areas:

AI-assisted product development
Understanding how AI can support product teams without replacing critical thinking.

Developer tools and automation
Building systems that reduce repetitive work for developers and product builders.

Self-hosted infrastructure
Experimenting with homelab systems, LLM deployments, and automation workflows.

Product intelligence platforms
Tools that help founders prioritize features and understand real user feedback.

You will see many of these ideas appear in my projects and experiments.

What This Site Is

This site is built as a lightweight technical journal using Astro.

You will find:

  • Notes from real projects
  • Technical experiments
  • AI and automation workflows
  • Product strategy thinking
  • Infrastructure setups
  • Random ideas worth documenting

Sometimes the posts will be short.
Sometimes they will be long deep dives.

Most of the time they are simply things I want to remember, test, or share with other builders.

A Note on Opinions

Technology moves fast. Hype moves even faster.

Over the years I have learned that most useful things in technology are actually simple ideas executed well over time.

I tend to prefer:

  • practical systems over theoretical ones
  • clarity over complexity
  • products that solve real problems

You will see that bias reflected in many of the writings here.

Final Thought

Most people treat technology as a tool.

I have always treated it as a medium for building ideas into reality.

This site is simply one more place where I continue doing that.
